We hired Room 38 to provide passed appetizers for our wedding, and we couldn’t have been more impressed! The food was INSANELY delicious—every bite was a hit with our guests. The staff was equally amazing, offering exceptional service with a personal touch. One of the staff members even noticed I was cold and kindly gave me her jacket to warm up before I walked down the aisle. It’s these thoughtful gestures that made them stand out. We were so grateful to have them as part of our wedding day and would recommend them in a heartbeat for any catering needs. Truly outstanding service and food!

I had come here yesterday for my birthday. I had made a reservation stating it was for my birthday.When I had arrived I had learned that half of my party wasn't going to be able to make it due to the weather. When I had let my waitress know so she could sit us at a smaller table, she gave me a very nasty look. At the end of our dinner my friends had let her know it was my birthday and ask her if they do anything for birthdays. She reply's with no and walked off. A couple minutes later she comes out to 2 other tables with a sparkler and either a dessert or free shots. I had later that night looked up if room 38 does anything for birthdays and the facebook page said Yes, and I had previously come here for my friend’s birthday where they had done it for her. My birthday was ruined by a very rude waitress, an experience I can never get back. I love this restaurant very much, that is why I chose to come here for my birthday, but my experience was horrible.

The atmosphere is perfect for photos and probably group get togethers when you are meeting up for drinks. The outdoor tables are definitely designed for form over function and they leave very little room for dinner plates. The service was a little slow at times and we had to ask multiple times for water refills. The food however was slightly disappointing. Small portions for the price and quality was a simply just lacking. The potatoes were over-seasoned and the grilled cheese was flat with more serano jam than cheese or anything else. We were there for lunch and sat outside the weather was perfect for their patio. The best part was the decor and the donuts.

I had a deeply unsettling experience during my visit to Room 38. Unfortunately, what should have been a fun and welcoming environment quickly turned sour due to inappropriate and discriminatory behavior from the staff.From the moment we arrived, we were subjected to subtle but unmistakable racially profiled. Instead of addressing our concerns respectfully, the staff chose to laugh at us, making the situation even more humiliating. This is unacceptable behavior in any establishment, let alone one that should pride itself on customer service.Despite raising the issue, our concerns were dismissed, and we were made to feel like we didn’t belong. This experience completely ruined my night and it’s deeply disappointing that an environment where all guests should feel welcome instead perpetuated such harmful attitudes.I hope Room 38 takes this seriously and works on improving staff training and creating a more inclusive atmosphere for all guests. Until then I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

I ventured to Room 38 for Sunday Brunch and was hoping to experience an expansive and tasty menu with family and friends. it was truly disappointing. We had a fairly large party, so we were glad the restaurant took reservations. While the wait staff was friendly and accommodating, they got most of the orders wrong and much of what we ordered was brought out cold. I see the reviews that rave about the establishment, so maybe they were having an off day the weekend we were there. The bacon and eggs were bland and tasteless and the chicken and waffles were overcooked. In contrast, the lobster Mac was amazing and a true bright spot in a less than positive experience. I hear the drinks are great. The ambiance wasn't bad either. The positives stop there. There was no salt or pepper on the table. We had to ask for ice and were informed the restaurant doesn't have jelly or preserves or jam, just strawberry BUTTER which is certainly unique, but not reasonable. I'm really sorry my dining experience was so poor and can only speculate that others who had a similar experience simply chose not to return rather than write a critical review. I'm all about supporting locally owned restaurants so they can thrive, but expecting diners to enjoy mediocre menu items with fancy names and then call it cuisine is ridiculous. Dine at Room 38 if you are okay with being underwhelmed at a high price!

1st time customer from out of town, really disappointed when we went in and we're told since we didn't have reservations we'd have to sit outside ( where it was over 90°F 🥵) . There were plenty of empty tables inside, and were still empty when we left. I've never been to a restaurant where you had to ask for ice for your 4oz cup of tap water. Our waitress was really slow, the wait for drinks was over 30 minutes. Took forever to get our food order and nothing was even hot when it was served to us. Watched a waitress have shots with customers 😳 ! Didn't know drinking on the job was allowed, especially when you don't look anywhere close to being 21. I'll definitely never be back and for sure wouldn't recommend it to anyone other than liquor control.

This is a long one! It was my 23 birthday I was surprised with a dinner by my best friend, she made reservations to sit outside days prior. We get there and we are told we can’t sit outside because they placed some other party at our table and they weren’t done. I was upset but kept pushing, our waitress took forever to even get our drink order, and once we were ready to order they we basically out of everything. I placed my order and 20 minutes went by and everyone got their food except me because my order was “lost” per our waitress but the young man who brought the food originally checked on it for me before our actual waitress did and he stated it wasn’t put in so I wait another 20 minutes. I’ve loved Room 38 for years but it’s gone downhill a lot I definitely don’t recommend eating there, all they really have is the cute aesthetic. I highly recommend going somewhere else for dinner and making room 38 a pit stop if you must go there

Just terrible ownership. Really sad. I bought a gift card on THEIR website for $75 as a gift to my elderly mother who is on a fixed income. When she went to redeem it the staff told me that they couldn’t accept it because they had never heard of the gift card vender (it was Yiftee, who we have used several times before at other restaurants without a single issue.) When I pointed out that Yiftee was in fact the vendor on Room 38’s website, the very confused bartender put me in touch with the owner. After many back and forth’s, and me talking to Yiftee customer support, it became obvious that Room 38 doesn’t know how to run gift cards through for the correct amount. They never did refund me or accept the card. When I complained, the owner asked me why I was I so worried about $75 and asked me if my family was going to hungry over such a petty amount. I guess I’m out $150 now, $75 for the unhonored gift card and the extra $75 I paid to Room 38 for the meal. They had the nerve to say I might be a scammer

Cute restaurant and bar with a bottomless mimosa option on Saturdays the food was good except what they are trying to pass off as gooey butter cake. It was like white cake with strawberry topping. The flat bread I ordered was delicious though. It's really loud in this restaurant.

Service was decent, atmosphere cute, menu items sound great…But it took over an hour for a salad and burger to come out. The lettuce was near rotten and the chicken on the salad was cold and hard. Went for Easter brunch, On 3/29. Service was adequate, though drink orders were mixed up. Had the Classic Benny, and was quite disappointed as this is one of their signature dishes. The eggs seem to be boiled instead of poached, and the English muffin quite dry. Also, the hollandaise sauce was Nearly MIA. Kind of a shame actually.

I have never been here for brunch before, but I was told they serve pretty good food. Well, the food there is decent, but the kitchen was SUPER SLOW and our server also never kept us updated as to how long would take for the food to come. It took them approximately 40 minutes to have the food ready. I hope it was just because they were short on staff at that time, but I don't think waiting for 40 mins to get our food served is acceptable, especially as no one informed us if there was gonna be a long wait. They were fairly busy when we were there eating our brunch, but they definitely need to look into their workflow. It seems like everyone working was fairly NEW to this place and they didn't seem to be fully trained in terms of keeping everyone informed and getting our orders correct. For the prices they charge here, guests should be able to expect better services than what we received. Despite the food being reasonably good, I am not sure if I would come back anytime soon for brunch here. Wish my experience here could been a little different.

Came here for a last min birthday dinner with my sister almost 2 weeks ago made a reservation online which requires a $20 deposit. The food was ok i had wings and a salad the salad was huge couldn’t finish it the wings i was not a fan of…..i think the menu has changed since i was there last but the place is beautiful inside as well as their outside patio. Perfect for date night or a birthday dinner! A few days later i realized my $20 deposit was not used towards my bill and not refunded so i called and was able to speak to a manager about it. He was able to reach back out to me and resolve the issue and my deposit has been returned. The customer service received from management alone makes me want to give this place another try i really appreciated his prompt response to the issue. Will try to come back sometime and try their brunch!

Lilly was an incredible server! Totally made us feel welcomed and kept our glasses full. The Surf and Turf was killer! Throw on some Cajun fries and it’s a done deal. We came here when it opened in a Friday night and we were older than anyone else by at least 20 years so we never came back. But then someone told us that they have a killer lunch, and they DO!!! I am so glad I found this lunch spot! Going again tomorrow. 2-26-24 Came again and the menu changed, but Brian was cooking and he was able to squeak out one more surf and turf! Delicious!!! Older, business crowd to impress at lunch (don’t be in a hurry). Hip, younger crowd to Tic and Tok at night.

Was visiting Room 38 for the first time today. We were part of a large group and the service was great. The drinks were regularly checked on, even for those of us drinking tea and pop. Their was a nice selection of appetizers available and the small plates were good sized. I enjoyed the Ahi Tuna and the others enjoyed their food. The only reason Atmosphere is not 5 stars is it was too loud for my taste.

The food was DELICIOUS! I went on a snowy Monday night and had the fried dumplings and steak frites, I was not disappointed at all. I love the upscale-ish atmosphere mixed with a sports bar feel. I would recommend this place to anyone. Our waitress was nice too (didn’t get her name, sorry!)

The food was beyond perfection! Ambiance was gorgeous! We went a couple days after Christmas, so it was all decorated beautifully with soft, warm lighting, and tons of battery lit candles. (My pics wash it out and don't do it justice), And the service was excellent! Can't recommend this place highly enough!!! I only with the bathroom was bigger and wheelchair accessible.

Game Day Review! 🐅🏈 We ordered a number of delicious appetizers! The drinks were also very nice. The staff worked as a team and were very attentive . Haley, our server, was tremendous! She was patient and kind during a home game and even made our friend’s birthday extra special with a flaming candle and gooey butter cake! She was knowledgeable, mature and great conversationalist all while helping her colleagues handle a packed house! I wish they could all be like Haley and the Room 38 Team! 🖤💛🐅🎂 🏈

We passed through Columbia and stopped here for brunch. Be sure to make reservations! They had a cancellation so luckily we got in. Our group had mimosas, loaded B+G, the chicken B+G, and I had the avocado toast. It was all SO GOOD! The staff were equally amazing.Tips- make a reservation for weekend brunch and note that there’s a 2 hr time limit if you are having bottomless mimosas. A 20% tip is automatically included.

I ate lunch at Room 38 today with 3 girlfriends. We all ordered salads, Caesar, Beet and Goat and the Walnut. They were all excellent. Very fresh ingredients, generous serving size and not overdressed. Our service was great too. A young waitress that was attentive and pleasant. I will definitely be back with more friends soon. I love hanging out here, plenty of good drinks! The food is also pretty good sometimes, however that's why I had to give it a 4 star, as friendly as the staff is, sometimes the food isn't the best lol, but a lot of the times it is, so I recommend checking this place out! There are 3 reasons why Room 38 is one of the best restaurants in town.1. Their chicken and waffles is insane. If you haven’t tried it - do it. This Sunday, go and order it. You’ll never be the same.2. $15 Bottomless Mimosas. This one speaks for itself. Not only that but they have 4-5 flavours to choose from.And 3. Bridget. This girl is the best waitress to ever grace the table of any establishment. She sets the bar very, very high. Super sweet and super attentive. Brunch in a college town with bottomless mimosas on offer is going to be CRAZY at the best of times, but any time I sit down for brunch and get Bridget as my waitress I know I’m going to have a great dining experience no matter how busy the place is. The service is fantastic.So yeah, Room 38 guys. Try it.

I just had one of the best meals of my life probably ever. Oliva was our server & she was extremely attentive & personable. She made us feel extremely comfortable ordering the tons of food we did and served it in great time. We ordered 6 different plates of food and 4 of the premium lounge cocktails and somehow only spent around $100. I know that number doesn’t sound cheap, but the portions were much more than we expected and the food quality was a 10/10. We purposely ordered more than we could eat because we wanted to try so many things. The seafood tasted fresh, the fries were hot & crispy, and the presentation of the cocktails was a 10/10 experience as well. The happy hour is pretty good too, going to have to come back and take advantage of it. Overall, we are very happy and look forward to coming back! Billy and his team have been fantastic to work with. Communication is key and they are the best at it! At no point when working with Billy did I have any doubts that our events wouldn't be great. The drinks were great! The food wasn't as good as I was expecting. Great service though. A 20% tip is included in your bill, which was fine because our waitress was nice and frequently checking on us. I'd go again, but maybe just for drinks and an appetizer.

Olivia was a great server! She did an amazing job and the food was excellent will definitely be back! I brought my friend from out of town and he was very satisfied! Ask for Olivia whenever you go to room 38!

I LOVED ROOM 38! I had never been before and the service and food was fantastic. My server, Taylor, was awesome and was so attentive and balanced her tables so well because it was so busy on saturday morning. She was incredible!

Stopped by after reading reviews, and heh i hope all know to disregard a bad review from 2 years ago still at top because so many liked it. But anyway we loved the place, not all bright like some places, seats are comfortable and the staff working now are great. Olivia waited on us and we never had to ask for anything. The lobster bisque soup was great but the seared dumplings were some of the best we have ever had. I’m sure others have their favorites here. Raining too hard to sit outside but will come back again.

Haley was amazing! This was our first Room 38 experience and we will definitely be coming back! The drinks are outstanding, the food is great, and it’s a friendly atmosphere. Our biggest dilemma was choosing what to order…it’s ALL amazing! ☺️

I love Room38. Truly a different experience. You forget you’re in Columbia. I’ve was visiting from Chicago & went twice back to back. My waitress, Haley, was awesome! Very attentive & friendly!

Came in on Saturday night and Room 38 continues to be my favorite place in town. Maya, my server, was very attentive to my table of 5 friends. She was energetic and friendly. She even gave me great advice on nail salons here in Columbia.

Just the right spot for lunch! We were cheerfully greeted by Sami at the entrance and escorted to a lovely booth. We enjoyed shrimp and grits and the grilled salmon club and will definitely return to try more of the menu!

Dropped by for a Friday happy hour. Tried the stuffed mushrooms and buffalo cauliflower and both were mediocre... However, their drinks are tasty (try their in-house infusions!) and the bartender sent complimentary mixed cocktails, so don't go here for the food!

Great atmosphere, great food, don't order the funnel cake.The salmon club and shrimp summer salad were delicious, their lobster bisque was to die for (seriously, I gotta get that recipe), but their fryer must not have been getting hot enough that day because the sweet potato fries and the funnel cake desert were SOAKED with cooking oil. My digestion today aside, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be making another trip in the future!...just maybe with a different choice of dessert and side.

As a first timer I was thoroughly impressed. Went for the weekday Happy Hour! They have am awesome deals on cocktails and the Buffalo cauliflower was amazing!!! I will be visiting again soon. The environment is very laid back and the service was super quick. Great quality food and a good scene for social engagement with coworkers, friends, or family.

Endless mimosas are always a great thing, even if there is a 2 hour limit.In a group of a few people we all shared what we individually ordered. Everything was delicious, and were no complaints about the wait time, quality of food, or waitress. An overall pleasant experience and can recommend nearly anything on the menu.

We went for Sunday brunch, and the food and drinks were great. Most of the tables were already reserved when we got there. There was seating available at the bar, but that also filled up quickly while we were eating.I recommend making a reservation if you can beforehand if you're going during peak hours.

Food and drinks were great. We enjoyed a nice spring evening outside with friends. The people that were at the restaurant that evening made it an interesting one, but as far as the food and drinks - would recommend. Really unique stuff and worth checking out!

salads are amazing! Other food is pretty decent however the customer service and waitresses were great . Kind of a night bar and we brought our children and didn’t realize it wasn’t 100% family friendly, however they were super accommodating.

Enjoyed a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and the football game. Evan the bartender was excellent and attentive, the food delicious, the drinks hitting the spot. I'll be back!

Utilized their catering services. Meals were well packaged, labeled and brought out to my car. Food was gold standard delicious and portions were huge. No guest went hungry and as an added bonus, I got lobster Mac and cheese for 2 days in a row #happinessis. Thanks so much Billie and Room 38, we will be back!

Everything we had was wonderful! We tried the dumplings, Chicken Queso Dip and the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps! Our Server “Valerie A” was very attentive and nice!!! They even had “happy hour” pricing on some of the menu items we ordered! We will come back soon to try other items that looked good on the menu! Our Server was very attentive and did a good job. The food was excellent! Unfortunately the food came out slowly.

Every time I have gone to Room 38, I’ve been treated like family. The service is always outstanding with unbelievably friendly & attentive staff. The food & experience is even better. You’d regret not going if ever in town. 5 stars all the way.

I enjoy Room 38. I tend to go on the earlier side, and rarely late. It's a happening place, and quite loud at night, as many bars/restaurants are. I like going in around 3 or 4. The food is good and there is a good menu selection. The bar puts out decent drinks. I will say that one time, the server disappeared on us for about 30 minutes, thank you

The happy hour is one of a kind in the city. From the shareable plates to drafts & call wells, each is a delight. The pretzel bites are a must. Make sure to make a reservation - especially during brunch. The only place in Columbia with bottomless brunch.

My wife and I celebrated had our second anniversary here. Everything we had was delicious. We were excited that we arrived during happy hour. The drink and appetizer prices were great! I thought the artichoke drip could have included a few more chips, but then again, I wouldn’t have had room for the main course! I had the shrimp po’boy. It was perfect. So were the fries. Finally for dessert we had a chocolate tort. Our waitress was very attentive, but not bothersome. I’d recommend this place! I would also recommend a reservation. The inside area is pretty small. We reserved a time and got right in.

This is an absolutely wonderful spot so if you manage to get a seat, I definitely recommend trying it out. It's constantly incredibly busy, so you'll want to either make a reservation or come during the off hours, but the food is 100% worth it. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced, and their Happy Hour deals are phenomenal.

The soft pretzel bites are everything you've ever needed in your whole life. We always get at least two orders of those. They're like shining with a kind of honey butter magic glaze and served with a warm, spicy cheese sauce. I've actually only ever had their small plates at happy hours but their menu for dinner looks incredible!! I'll need to go their for dinner sometime soon!

Nice place for a get-together with friends or a small group. A bit crowded indoors, but the space is creatively designed to accommodate groups of ~12. Outdoor patio seating is also available. The food was tasty, presented well, and it was rather quick. Our hostess was great, too.
